DESCRIPTION: Hamilton Watch Co., Lancaster, Penn., "4992B", 16 size, 22 jewels, stem wind, pendant set, adjusted to 6 positions and temperature, straight line damascened, nickel plate movement, with lever escapement, uncut monometallic balance, double roller, gold timing screws, whiplash micrometric regulator in a base metal, screw back and bezel, open face case, with Ordnance information engraved on base metal back, and 24-hour Arabic numeral, black painted metal dial, white painted steel hands, serial #4C102623, c1950, contained in a walnut "Aircraft Navigational Watch Box" by the Pilliod Cabinet Co.
CONDITION: CASE: Dings and pin pricks; Scratches on outer surface of case; Plastic crystal; Minor scratches on crystal; Crown worn. DIAL: Minor marks and losses, overall very good. HANDS: Good, with some paint loss, sweep seconds hand slightly bent. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Scratches on winding wheel; Loss to blacking in engraving; Specks of dirt / dust.
